Journalist, photographer, camera operator or radio presenter: for many people, media professions are dream jobs. And rightly so, actually. Were it not for the sobering facts such as job cuts, wage dumping or poor social security for freelancers. We resist.

We postulate and promote

For media employees, we demand minimum wages, a maximum weekly working time, better dismissal protection and appropriate compensation for Sunday and night work and much more. We also support them with competent advice in all professional matters and in collective labour disputes. Currently around 2,000 media professionals – freelancers and permanent employees from press, radio, TV, online and PR – are benefiting from our support.

We connect internationally

syndicom is affiliated with the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). syndicom members with an entry in the professional register of journalists are therefore entitled to an international press card. The international press card costs CHF 70 and is valid for two years. Application forms can be obtained at info[at]syndicom.ch.
