Who we are and what we do
Members determine the course
syndicom was created in 2011 as the result of the merger of the communication union and the media union comedia. Thanks to our democratic structures, our members have the opportunity to determine the orientation and the policy of their union. Be it in the personnel commissions of individual companies, which syndicom supports in negotiations on wages and social plans, or in the committees of our 13 branches, which negotiate collective labour agreements (CLA), for example.
At the service of all employees
We are politically and confessionally independent and we are an important social partner in many branches and companies. We negotiate together progressive CLAs and enforce them. In addition, as a member of the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions, we influence legislation and represent the interests of employees with associations and authorities. This benefits all employees in the 13 branches in which we are active.
