Swisscom is the largest telecommunications service provider in Switzerland and has been a social partner of syndicom since its foundation in 1999. At the heart of this social partnership is a Collective Employment Agreement (CEA), which is considered a beacon in the branch.
In addition to the CEA, the pension fund comPlan and the social plan complete the social partnership's set of rules. Thanks to strong employee representation on the comPlan Board of Trustees, the bridging pension was secured and further reductions in benefits were prevented. In view of the financially driven staff reductions, many employees also found a follow-up solution thanks to the social plan.
However, a strong regulatory framework also includes groundwork and policy measures as well. These include petitions and initiatives as well as surveys in companies who support trade union work and the conducting of effective measures. syndicom also offers its members advice on (early) retirement.
Furthermore, syndicom ensures that strong staff representation is made possible within the company. Thanks to syndicom, the members of the staff committees benefit from, among other things, time off and comprehensive protection against dismissal.
